BLOG...not a bulletin board

the reason we post on blogs is to receive comments, we want feedback on the things that we share with you!

i had an interesting analogy that i came up with yesterday and i shared it with mom...she seemed to like it...what do you think?

imagine you're at a family reunion/ward social/gala event....you know the kind...just a large gathering of people...and you share a great story about some hilarious event that happened in your life and you're just loving telling the story! and then when you finish, you notice that you are the only one laughing and that everyone else is just staring back at you, kinda with the whole "stupor of thought" thing goin on...telling the story seems kinda pointless now eh? but then, two weeks later, out of the blue, someone comes up to you and says "hey, you remember that story you told a couple weeks ago? i thought it was the funniest thing! i was laughing so hard i fell on the floor!"....now how could you have known this? when you told the story, hardly anyone even blinked, much less died of laughter...

we call this....a PARADOX...two things that could not have possibly occured at the same time...you could not have laughed and not laughed at the same time...its one or the other...is anyone grasping on here?

we post for comments...the reason people hardly ever post anymore is because *GASP* LACK OF COMMENTS!!....whew...glad i got THAT off my chest! so whadda ya say team? can we do it? just remember the simple formula

post + COMMENTS = more posts

BRILLIANT!!

Zach,
You are funny! I agree, we need commments more. Ananlogies are great to use on your mission. It sounds like you're well on your way thinking of analogies for just about anything.

Comments would be great! I'm always amazed when I talk to family on the phone and find out that they have read the blog. You can't tell if anyone reads your post unless someone says something about it. I think it would be more fun for all of us if this became a place to keep in touch, even if it is just a word or two.

Thanks, Zach, for helping us become more Blog savvy.

I just assumed people were reading my comments and thought they were so funny that they couldn't come up with anything to say.
Does that make me a vain person?
Brian

P.S. Zach, you asked for it......didn't you?

Chris wins!!!!! Chocolate is the word of the day, or was that Fridays word? If it was Fridays word, what is todays word? I like chocolate, however, if I were giving out prizes I'd have to give it to Brian, your last comment did make me laugh so hard I almost couldn't respond.

Of course I win, Chocolate is always the word of the day. Just ask any of the Unicorns!

Yeah... unicorns ROCK!

I just want to say that some of are on sebatical from the blog at this season and therefore we cannot post. Oh, we want to, and we long for the day when we can return to the squishy chair in the office and read the blog each morning, but no, we are making dozens and dozens of costumes for demanding and ungrateful elementary children who poke me in the arm incessantly and ask mind numbing questions about "what happens if..." and I can't wait for this stupid play to be over!

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!

Stress reliever.

I will be posting again soon. And possibly with pictures!

Love from Camille

Zach,
you sure do post a lot in the middle of the night. Just think.....in a few short weeks you'll be sleeping during these wee hours of the morning............because you'll be waking up at 5 in the morning so you and your companion can be ready to have scripture study and prayer at 5:30 so you can be ready for breakfast at 6.
That kind of reminds me of the military only what you'll be doing shortly is infinately more meaningful.
