Chris and I have been home for a week, and things are finally getting back to normal. I've posted over 100 pictures on Shutterfly, of the over 800 that we took. Here they are.

SIX WONDERFUL YEARS!!!

Today Brian and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary! It seems like only yesterday that we were posting our 5th anniversary here on the blogger. Where does the time go???
As I've said before, I'm the luckiest woman alive to have Brian as a husband and best friend!
I'm also blessed to have all of you as my family - and I'm so happy that we finally were able to meet face to face!
Love to everyone - Kathy

Melt my heart fathers day

On Sunday morning I was going to put Kaitlyn down for a nap. She wanted to lay on the floor to read stories. So we put a couple pillows and blankets down and she snuggled up to me while I read her stories. Somewhere early in the second story I fell asleep and Kaitlyn left the room quietly.
After a while I woke up as Kaitlyn had returned, knelt down next to me, and gave me a great big hug. She said, "I wuv you daddy. Happy Fathers Day daddy!" and then gave me an Eskimo kiss followed by butterfly kisses. It was so sweet. She probably told me happy fathers day 40 times yesterday.
Cindy did a great job too. Thanks hun for cooking lunch, letting me sleep in until 6:30, and letting me watch the end of the Lakers/Celtics game :) It really was a great day.
We had a great time in Idaho Friday and Saturday. Happy Fathers Day to all you dads!

Everyone please read Camilles post right after this. I felt bad posting this right now. I felt like that post should spend some time at the top until everyone had read it. Sorry Camille.

OK, so I'm not cured.

Guys, I need a favor. I need your prayers because I'm not cured. 10 days after finishing my super antibiotics, I'm still sick, I've got another infection - not as serious - but something is just not.... right. Ya know what I mean? I got another antibiotic for the new infection and, guess what, I had an allergic reaction to it. SO, I will probably have surgery this week (third surgery in less than two months) and hopefully we'll discover what is UP! Please, please pray for me.

OK, I feel embarrassed for asking you to pray for me. You can do whatever you want. Sorry!

Camille

Summer Beauty

Hopefully the bad weather in Idaho is done until this fall.
This lily plant has been all white for the last three years. I guess it decided to surprise us this year.

Looking to the Future

Fifteen years down, FIFTY to go.

So things are improving on our home front. I have one more nasty, super-antibiotic to swallow and I'm DONE! CURED (hopefully) from my "bout with Sepsis" as my doctor says, or E-Coli as my specific infection is commonly termed. It has taken two long weeks, but I'm beginning to feel some strength and energy again. I even did a little yard work the other day... and then I had to come in and take a nap, but, HEY, it's an improvement. So, I am grateful. So grateful for Heavenly Father's hand in all of this, in discovering it so timely and for the healing I feel inside and out. I am so, so grateful - thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. LOVE YOU GUYS!

A WANTED MAN!!

So we're going to keep posting but just FYI we've started a blog for our (Cindy and I) family. We'd love to hear from you there too if you're really getting into blogging: nateandcindypetersonfamily.blogspot.com

So I drove down to St. George this past weekend to attend the wedding of a girl whose father I worked for through high school. On my way home I got pulled over (the officer said 89 but I was only doing 83, I know still speeding so I didn't say anything :)) and given a ticket ($107 ouch). When the officer returned to my car he asked if I was aware that there was a warrant out for my arrest. I instantly thought that my identity had been stolen and that this was going to get ugly. I told him that I had no idea and he proceeded to remind me of a ticket I was issued last June for failing to use my blinker (OK I actually swerved across four lanes of traffic so that I wouldn't miss my exit but he was kind enough to write me up for failing to signal). I knew I'd paid the ticket and told him that I had a receipt. He asked if I had it on me and when I obviously did not he told me all the things he was supposed to do (take me to jail, impound my car, etc.) but said he was going to make a note that he'd talked with me and that if I was pulled over again without having taken care of it I would be booked. I spent all day looking through my electronic receipts with no luck. My electronic bank statements only went back to the end of June 2007. I thought I was going to have to pay $206.50 to clear my warrant but I finally found a paper copy of my statement and the carbon copy of my check stub.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Keep your receipts..... or don't break the law... :)
